Court reporting
Court reporting in the Cayman Islands
We provide professional court reporting services for hearings, trials, depositions, and arbitrations across the Cayman Islands.
Our court reporting uses a digital recording approach rather than traditional stenography. We configure multi-channel audio equipment in the hearing room, capturing separate channels per speaker for accurate diarization and post-session review. A real-time transcript can be produced during the proceedings, with raw audio retained throughout for verification or enhancement if required.

Why use a local provider
Instructing an overseas court reporting firm for Cayman proceedings introduces logistical and cost considerations that a local provider avoids entirely.
No international travel costs
Firms based in the UK or US must recover the cost of flights, accommodation, and subsistence for any reporter they send to Grand Cayman. These expenses are typically passed to the client, either as a line item or absorbed into elevated day rates. As a Cayman-based provider, we attend proceedings at no travel cost to you.
No work permit delays or uncertainty
Foreign nationals providing services in the Cayman Islands are ordinarily required to hold a valid work permit or operate under an exemption. For one-off or short-notice engagements, this can introduce lead time, administrative burden, or compliance risk. We are locally established and operate without any such requirement.
Shorter notice and greater flexibility
Without international logistics to coordinate, we can confirm availability and mobilise more quickly — an advantage when hearing dates are set or changed at short notice, or when proceedings overrun into an additional sitting day.
A single point of contact throughout
You deal directly with the person responsible for the engagement — not a bookings team or account manager in a different time zone.
Common questions
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, particularly during Court of Appeal sitting seasons when demand from multiple matters can converge in a narrow window. For general Grand Court hearings, we can often accommodate shorter-notice requests — contact us to confirm availability.
What is included in the daily rate?
The daily rate covers attendance at the hearing and production of a transcript in your required format. Timestamping, certified copies, and expedited delivery are available at an additional rate, confirmed at the point of booking.
Can you provide a reporter if the hearing settles or is vacated?
We understand that proceedings frequently settle before the hearing date. Please notify us as early as possible if a matter settles or is vacated. Our cancellation terms are set out in our engagement letter and confirmed at the time of booking.
Do you cover proceedings outside Grand Cayman?
Our primary coverage is Grand Cayman. For proceedings on the Sister Islands, or in other Caribbean and/or Commonwealth jurisdictions, contact us to discuss arrangements and any additional costs.
Related services
Court reporting is frequently required alongside transcription and language services. We can coordinate all three as part of a single engagement.
